Set up a good environmentA great movie theater is designed with your comfort in mind. They have comfortable seats, hot chocolate or soda-and even snacks available if you feel hungry. All of these things help make the experience more enjoyable for you, which will make it easier to focus on the film. Your home cinema should be no different. What you need will depend on what type of films you watch most often. If you like blockbuster hits then space needs to be given to a large screen and loudspeakers. If you mostly want to watch recent movies though, then you can still give yourself comfy seating and plush voices by using your living room as your theatre. Likewise, if you’re watching a live TV show, you probably don’t want to be too far away from the television. Find a place where you won’t miss any part of the action! For all types of films, try to find a location that provides sound insulation. This way you can listen at half volume without interference from outside distractions (i.e. people walking downstairs, kids yelling, other animals barking). It also helps if there are no windows so you can shut everything out. That way you can forget about everything else while enjoying a good movie. Get a good screen sizeMost screens are 16:9, which is different than what TVs do, so you want to make sure your video matches this ratio. Also, get yourself a free software download such as SiSoft Sandra, for all computers. This gives you many features, sizes, and colors to choose from. Get an audio device that connects with multiple speakers. Some people prefer computer-generated music over vinyl records because they find it easier to listen to at higher volumes. If you plan to use optical disks, make sure you have a second disk reader/writer available (the same goes for vinyl). If you need more storage space, consider buying disks. Disk drives are pricey though. Get a sound-reflecting screenA screen is an important part of your home theater system. It’s what you will sit around (in front of) and watch movies or listen to music on. Concrete, stainless steel, glass, aluminum – all these materials work well for screens, so choose one that fits your style. But more importantly, what type of screen you have, is how it sounds. Search online for “soundproof screening”; there are many companies who offer this technology, which reduces noise from the outside world, as well as our phones/tablets and computers. These technologies can be expensive, but they are worth it if you want your audio experience in the room to be high quality. Set up a good audio systemThe audio component of your home theater takes almost as much effort as the video part. You will probably spend more time listening than watching, so don’t skimp here. Good speakers need proper placement for optimal sound. A room with hardwood floors is best; carpeted rooms can get too noisy. Ambient noise reduction helps avoid filling the room with loud sounds but may have less impact in a living room that has a large window. In a study conducted by researchers at Germany’s Kufstein Institute, high-fidelity playback became noticeably louder when quiet people were playing games versus just letting people talk among themselves. Home theaters should be treated like luxury vehicles... No one needs to feel they have to drive it every day. If you want to use it frequently, set aside some time each week for fun. This includes cleaning it, fixing it, setting it up, etc. It only takes someone ten minutes to break something they don’t know how to fix because they didn’t put them back together right (last time). Check the perfect one here: https://colorviewfinder.co/samsung-hw-q800b-review/ You can skip this step if you're confident about putting everything together, but I would recommend having a backup plan in case anything goes wrong. Create the perfect lineupEvery home theater should have a unique identity. It’s important to put your style into your movie presentation, as this will help make your home theatre feel more like a part of you instead of something monotone and generic. You can search online for movies with distinct styles or try finding art films that are similar to popular entertainment choices. In general, though, it’s better to find high-quality horror films under the genre “shock cinema” or classic black comedy films under the category “dark comedy.” These types of films convey emotion through color, action, and soundtrack. If you don’t consider yourself to be much of an artist, you can still create beautiful decor and design elements using off-the-shelf products that match your vision. Furthermore, investing in quality merchandise from Etsy is a great way to achieve a sense of stylized realism. There are also plenty of third-party licensees who produce merchandise ranging from themed blankets to hot rod shirts and decorations. Buying merchandise is one thing, but if you want to take it further, build sets! Set designs allow you to construct a specific mood or setting, which brings me to my next point… The best home theaters demonstrate professionalism while maintaining individual flair. Building upon what we just covered, here are some different set designs to choose from : Add ambient lightingA good ambiance is essential for any home theater setup. Without it, everything will seem very dull and industrial. You'll want lots of light in your viewing environment. The optimal amount of light depends on your preferences and what you watch (more casual viewers will enjoy less light). Incandescent bulbs are the easiest way to add light to your scene. They're relatively cheap and offer a nice warm glow. They have a long lifespan but burn very brightly - about 800 watts per 100 feet (~ 3 kW per meter). Energy-efficient LED and CFL lamps are alternatives to traditional incandescent. These can be purchased online or at major electrical retailers. Once they've been installed, turn off all-natural lights in your viewing area to reduce unintended glare. Keep the most used entrances to your room well-lighted. A fan placed near the entrance can help disperse the scent of perfume or aroma oil. If you have pets, this is a must! These products match the smell of pet urine/feces. Good-smelling oils include lemon pepper, rose, and thyme. Purchase several bottles of each and place some inside containers so you don't need to spray them regularly. Consider crowd controlOnce you have an idea of what you would like to achieve with your home theater, it’s time to find out where your seats will come from. Depending upon the number of people that will be attending your screenings, you may need to make room for more than one seat. And don’t forget about the occupants of this screening space; if someone is already living in this world, then why not consider them? Why force anyone to watch a film they aren’t interested in just because you want to get some pizza or tickets to a game? Find other reasons besides entertainment to go to the movie itself. Consider whether everyone entering the cinema needs complete and total attention since all eyes are focused on the screen. Cinema screens can put viewers in a trance by presenting images as words can speak to the mind. This can break down barriers between viewers and film. If you are watching a documentary, perhaps you should focus solely on the contents of the screen while disregarding any attempts to draw your attention. If there is no chance of having another person interrupting the experience, then consider closing off this area indefinitely. Forcing others to listen to your movies could cost your audience members money, making them feel even less involved. However, if you know that there will be distractions, design an entranceway that leads into the theatre so most people won’t see these things. Get the right seats
Having the right chairs is critical to your experience in the theater. Different shows call for different types of seating, but there are a few things you can look for when choosing where to sit. Finding the RIGHT SEATS is priority one! Believe it or not, taking pictures yourself is fun. It’s also free, which is why people like to do it. Here are some recommendations if you need help finding THE BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE □ But seriously, how good are your photos? Is this something that can be improved or dropped into place before an event even takes place? If you take the time to put these questions into practice, I promise you’ll have a great time enjoying the show!
Control the entranceOne of the worst things you can do after entering your home is turn on your TV. Don’t let the noise, not to mention the advertising, distract you while you are trying to get into your “zone”. Many streaming services provide access to over-the-air television shows as well as broadcast syndicated programs. Plus, most have apps for watching shows on-demand or digitally buying episodes. Streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Fire TV allow you to watch videos offline. And since they require you to upload only video files instead of entire DVDs, you save space. Google Fiber offers ultra-fast internet in several cities, making it possible to stream content faster than ever before. The service also gives you free wifi with an app that turns your phone into a hot spot.
